Luke 11:1-4 ~ The Lord's Prayer
For Thine is the Kingdom and the Power and the Glory, Forever and Ever
Luke 11
King James Version
And it came to pass, that, as he was praying in a certain place, when he ceased, one of his disciples said unto him, Lord, teach us to pray, as John also taught his disciples.
2 And he said unto them, When ye pray, say, Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth.
3 Give us day by day our daily bread.
4 And forgive us our sins; for we also forgive every one that is indebted to us. And lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil.
This prayer is so much in my heart today that I wanted you to join in with Andrea Bocelli and the Mormon Tabernacle as they proclaim The Lord’s Prayer:
Here is my most common, fervent prayer:
Father God, I ask that you open the doors that need to be opened, and close all the doors that need to be closed. In the Name of Jesus, Amen.
I want God to work in my life, and I take everything that happens as coming from Him. I feel that this prayer lets me be led by God, His will, His perfection. And because I know that I will spend eternity with Him, there is very little on earth that really, truly matters to me.
I live for Him.
I die to Him every day, and I become alive to God, Jesus Christ, and The Holy Spirit each day. And on some days, I do this every minute of every day.
God bless you today and always.
What is your most common prayer? How do you pray when you really need something from God?
